So my fiance is 26 and I am 24. He married at 19, divorced officially early while we were dating even though he was separated for a year before that. He has a child from his previous marriage. I am childless and never been married. I am deeply insecure about our uneven playing field. I know he loves me deeply and his first marriage was a mistake because he was so young and married VERY quickly, but I can’t help but think he has already ‘been there, done that’ with everything. It’s all new to me and I can’t imagine the second time around for him is as exciting and special as this being my first time. Was the proposal as nervewracking or special as the first? Will this be as exciting? Would our first child together even feel as special as his first with his ex?
